We
went last Friday to St. Joe Bay, minor feeding period
just after lunch, sighted fish from boat on the
hill and relayed to son and daughter in law wading
in 2-3 ft. of water. Other guys fishing around us
in 6'-10' with no luck. Sometimes the fish were
within 10 to 15 ' of us, had to go to our knees
or belly to stay hid from them.
Few ly's around St Park landing( 3" long).
Flat line only, fish bit for 2 hrs then quit. Average
school about 25 fish. Most fish were over 27. We
caught these same fish last year, I think, they
were all around 24-27 then. Could not catch a single
one during the Bayou Bash last year, but were able
to catch one resident fish with 13 spots to get
in a little money.
